Powermeter of the Month: May 2022 – power2max Race Face MTB powermeter

Whether it’s a marathon, short track or eliminator – power meters have become an indispensable part of cross country. Even more and more enduro bikers rely on power on their MTB and this does not mean an electric motor. Power meters on the MTB are essential for training and help with pacing in the race or on a tour with long climbs.

Race Face cranksets

Our NG and NGeco power meters for Race Face cranks are therefore in demand today as never before. This is of course also because more and more manufacturers rely on Race Face. The diverse range of Race Face has the right crankset for every taste and every price range and if this is equipped with the CHINCH direct mount standard, then our powermeters are compatible.

Compatibility – The chainring is what matters

Race Face cranks are combined with both SRAM and SHIMANO drivetrains. Our powermeter is compatible with both systems. However, it depends on the chainring. When buying a new chainring you must pay attention to two things: 1. the bolt circle diameter – BCD – must be 104mm and 2. the chainring must be compatible with your drivetrain, so Shimano or SRAM 1×12. Combined with the appropriate chainring bolts, the installation is done within 10 minutes.
